Competencies of the management personnel of central educational institutions in the city of Encarnación

Abstract
The competencies of the management staff of institutions in the city of Encarnación, is based on the hypothesis that the professional has a set of knowledge, skills and abilities acquired and developed in a systemic way by theory and practice during the years of management and above all by continuous training to successfully perform their role. The general objective of the work is: To determine the competencies of the management staff of central educational institutions in the city of Encarnación. The research was framed within a qualitative approach, descriptive level. The sample for data collection was non-probabilistic and has been made up of the main managers of the institutions investigated, interviews were applied to them. The main conclusions were; the managers have competencies, but the study highlights weaknesses that they must develop and strengthen such as: good communication, problem solving, leadership, awareness and being able to delegate. In addition, there are factors that hinder management work such as work overload, bureaucracy and lack of administrative assistants. Social, technological and cultural transformation, and especially the duality of functions such as management and leadership, makes it essential to accompany the work of managers with effective policies.
