Conception of university extension at the Universidad Nacional de Itapúa from the perspective of the academic community

Abstract

The objective of this research was to detail the characteristics of the university extension of the Universidad Nacional de Itapúa from the perspective of the academic community, 2019. Methodologically, this is a work of quantitative approach, non-experimental design, transectional or transversal type and descriptive subtype. A survey was used as a technique, and a questionnaire with 10 items was used as a data collection instrument. A stratified sampling of the units of analysis of the research was carried out. The most relevant results show that the characteristics of UNI's university extension point to the traditional, transfer or altruistic model, as well as the necessary conditions for the implementation of university extension projects, which are necessarily centered on cultural, sports and scientific dissemination and divulgation; training activities; services and technical assistance and other activities, such as assistance, field trips and technical visits. The components required in university extension constitute the demands of the environment; in addition to the linkage and communication strategies carried out by the university institution, among others.
