Sociolinguistic mapping in a neighborhood of Corrientes Capital, Argentina: in collaboration with children and teachers from a kindergarten
Keywords:

This article presents the progress of an ethnographic and collaborative study whose main objective was to characterize the uses and meanings of Guaraní in different activities and memories of the inhabitants of the Pirayui neighborhood of Corrientes. The field work was carried out in collaboration with the students, teachers, families and neighbors of the J.I.N (Jardín de Infantes Nucleados) N°41, which is located 6 km southeast of Corrientes Capital. This study was carried out within the framework of an undergraduate research scholarship, granted by the CIN (Nacional Interuniversity Council) between the months of August 2023-2024. In this publication I will describe some of the activities developed on and in Guaraní, from which we were able to develop a sociolinguistic map with reference to 20 families from the kindergarten who reside in the area, and I propose a first analysis on the uses and meanings of guaraní for the participants of this project.
