The objectives of this research were to: 1) Find a suitable condition to treat industrial effluents using activated sludge. So to meet the objective, a pilot treatment plant counted with a tank effluent, aeration and sedimentation was manufactured.
2) Check the operation of the pilot plant; treating effluents prepared in the laboratory and a factory area.
To treat industrial wastewater biological treatment by activated sludge which is a biological process used in the conventional wastewater treatment was used, and involves the development of a bacterial culture dispersed in the form of flocs in a stirred tank, and fed airy the residual water, which is capable of metabolizing nutrients as biological contaminants present in the water.
This work is important because with the continued growth of the city, are also expanding industries, but they should treat their effluent before our river look most affected by pollution
