The flipped classroom and its usefulness for English language learning

In different places around the world a new pedagogical model known as Flipped Classroom began to be used with significant results in the educational field. The objective of this research was to present the published results regarding the implementation of the Flipped Classroom methodology within the Teaching-Learning process of English as a Second Language. For this purpose, nineteen articles on the subject of the Inverted Classroom or Flipped Classroom published between 2015 and 2020, in the scientific article portal Redalyc, were selected. The analysis of the results indicated that this methodology is very well accepted and obtained significant results after its implementation. The meta-analysis of these nineteen papers highlights a significant increase in learning after the application of the Flipped Classroom methodology in contrast to the traditional methodology.
