About the Journal
Focus and Scope
UNIHumanitas Academic and Research Journal is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published biannually and edited by the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Guaraní Culture of the National University of Itapúa. UNIHumanitas is open to the national and international scientific community for the publication of scientific studies and knowledge in the areas of education, language and literature, culture, and social issues. Its mission is to disseminate academic and research works that contribute to the discussion of educational, social, and linguistic problems in the national, regional, and international spheres. The journal's vision is to develop as a pluralistic forum enabling the dissemination of topics, theoretical perspectives, approaches, and methodologies cultivated in the aforementioned disciplines.
Access and Reuse License
Works published in UNIHumanitas are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) license to ensure dissemination, distribution, and authorization of use for readers.
Article Submission and/or Publication Fees
UNIHumanitas does not charge authors any fees for article submission, evaluation, processing, or publication.
UNIHumanitas is edited and funded by the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Guaraní Culture.
Originality Check
All articles undergo a rigorous content quality control system to ensure their originality. Anti-plagiarism software is used to detect similarity levels in manuscripts. Works that do not meet the minimum standards established for scientific publications cannot be considered for subsequent publication.
Each submitted article must be accompanied by a signed Article Submission and First Publication Rights Transfer Letter from the submitting author. This letter must state the work's main contribution, the contribution of each author, any potential conflicts of interest, and confirm that the article is not under simultaneous consideration by another journal (in the case of authors external to the publishing institution). Articles from researchers affiliated with the National University of Itapúa will be governed by the Intellectual Property Regulations, approved by Resolution No. 098/2020.
Digital Preservation
UNIHumanitas Academic and Research Journal is part of the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) project, an initiative through which it preserves its archives. Furthermore, to safeguard the journal's digital resources and ensure the availability and accessibility of published works, all materials are made available to the public in the National University of Itapúa database.

Ethical Considerations

The journal is committed to mentioning the author(s) and giving them credit for the authorship of the work, whenever it is published.

Reviewers will maintain the confidentiality of documents under review and are not authorized to use them without the consent of the author and/or the National University of Itapúa.

The author(s) will receive the relevant proof, recognition, and/or distinction, as appropriate, once the work is published.

Members of the Scientific Committee will be recognized for their contributions through institutional certification.

Authors must indicate in the Commitment Letter for Authors whether or not they have potential conflicts of interest to declare regarding the submitted works.
Rights and Responsibilities

The Editorial Committee has the authority to return to authors articles that do not comply with the standards of UNIHumanitas Academic and Research Journal.

Once an article is accepted for publication, it is assumed that its authors have agreed to its publication, with the journal holding the Printing Rights, and the rights for reproduction, distribution in any form, and inclusion in national and international indexes.

The journal editors are responsible for verifying the authenticity and originality of works submitted for evaluation through peer review and by checking them with software to identify similarities and prevent plagiarism.

The opinions, interpretations, and conclusions contained in the works published in the journal are the sole responsibility of the author(s).
