Docencia Universitaria en el Contexto de las nuevas Dinámicas del Milenio. Una Apreciación desde la Modificabilidad Estructural Cognitiva y la Educación Experimental

Our aim is to share ideas as to what a University and teacher trained in the 20th century could be like in 21st century. This is done in order to contribute to training development of highly skilled professionals who are committed to the creation of greater autonomy within our country.
Initially, we will contextualize the process, to deal with the problems regarding the sharing of knowledge within our Universities. Additionally, we will attempt to provide clarity as to how a professional would feel working within the envisioned context. We will also attempt to draw a distinction between a professional who is capable of appropriately mediating knowledge to learners as opposed to someone who has not trained to do so. In doing so, we will highlight important aspects of professional development such as: training processes, competences, new roles for professionals, structural cognitive modifiability and experiential education.
We will finally propose new alternatives for professionals to keep up to date and hone their skills through constant training. This is done in the context of virtual leaming, sense of belonging to a community/country and equity.
