The objective of this article is to characterize the transfer of academic and scientific production from the academic units of the National University of Asunción (UNA) to the Central Library (BC) in the period 2018-2020, as part of the process of the implementation of the UNA Digital Repository. For this purpose, a study with a mixed approach and descriptive scope was proposed. The data were obtained from the BC document reception record forms. It was found that a total of 3,420 documents were transferred from the academic units of the UNA to the BC. The results showed that: the highest proportion of document receipt, with 58%, was recorded in 2019; most of the referrals corresponded to Final Degree Project, with 93%; The periodicity of transfer of academic and scientific production per year occurred with disparity, however, the Facultad de Ciencias Veterinarias, Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias and the Facultad de Enfermería y Obstetricia, carried out document transfers on a regular basis in the period analyzed. According to the findings of the investigation, it is considered crucial to promote the regular transfer of documents by the academic units to the BC, as repository of all UNA production, as established by Resolution 330-00-2018.
