Diagnóstico del desarrollo regional de la ciudad de Encarnación y su área de influencia

Abstract

Historically, the city of Encarnación has been protagonist of deep changes that have generated its development and has positioned itself as one of the country's major cities, building among other aspects frontier geographical location, the capital of the department hierarchy.

Over the years one can observe that the city of Encarnación has gone through a series of changes in its urban structure produced as a result of the reservoir effects at level 83 m.s.n.m. of Yacyretá dam, built infrastructure project on the Parana River between Argentina and Paraguay for electricity generation.

As a result of the generation of this reservoir there is a territorial involvement of the city of Encarnación and the consequent need for transformation and relocation of part of its population

Was performed an analysis and diagnosis of regional urban development of the city of Incarnation and its influence area.

The study was descriptive. The main results indicate dynamism of population growth, training, and the regional economy

Considering the variable urban growth can be seen increased buildings and neighborhoods and land lots in new residential complexes increasing the number of houses built in the district accompanied by development of infrastructure and urban services.
