Abstract

The objective of the article is to analyze and present the peculiarities of Guarani as an integral part of the linguistic situation in Paraguay. The hypothesis of the vitality of the Guaraní language is proposed from the point of view of the history of the formation of Paraguayan society, taking into consideration the historical, geographical, socio-political, cultural, family factors, etc., which It allowed Guaraní to achieve the status of the official language, keeping and strengthening its power and prestige in Paraguayan society. It is noted that the conquering situation gave certain advantages to the development of the Guaraní, without subjugating one culture for another, on the contrary, as a favor of one and the good disposition of the other, which led to the mixing of two cultures and languages and the appearance of the “third language” of Paraguay – jopará (yopará, guarañol, Hispanicized Guarani), which is de facto the “main language” of Paraguay today.  The "third language" of Paraguay is the result of cultural communication, leaving aside the racial reason, as would be the traditional miscegenation. It is emphasized that the mutual social and psychological adaptation of the aborigines and conquerors led to cultural, not biological, miscegenation, which in turn influenced the processes of the creation of the monolithic Paraguayan society. In conclusion, the interaction of linguistic systems is transmission, exchange, reciprocity of semantic information not so much from one social group to another, as from one culture to another.
